Julia Fullerton-Batten - Biography

« She transforms a simple picture into a dreamlike and precarious full of life world. »

Julia Fullerton-Batten was born in Bremen (Germany) from an English and German family.

She was very young when her family moved to the US, and then to the UK where she graduated the Berkshire College of Arts & Design.
Today, though she still lives in the UK, she travels a lot, which lets her develop a universal vision of our world. In each of her photos, she tells a story, and transforms what could be a simple picture into a dreamlike and precarious full of life world.
In her work, no detail is ever put aside, and this is precisely what makes the meaning so clear. It is this effective artistic glance that provided her many awards, including the CCF Foundation (2007), and the American Photography Award (2004,2005,2006).

Thus her work is to be seen in many exhibition around the world, and in magazines such as ELLE, the SundayTimes Magazine, Time Out, Guardian Weekly... and she collaborated with some of the most amous firms (O2, Lacoste, Triumph, Sony, Ford...)
