Marjolijn de Groot was born in Eindoven (Netherlands) in 1969.
After having graduated the Arts school of Maastricht, she learnt professionnal photography in Paris and New-York City, and started her career as an artist.
Her poetical universe bears a soft femininity and a very subtile style. Most of the time, she uses her instinct to catch the beauty of her models and rebuild it into an artistic and armonious way. This emotional aesthetics can be surprising, not only in photo, but also in the short-movie she directed in Paris.
Her participation to art events such as "Open Art Festival" in Frankenthal (Germany) links with the interest given to her by important magazines (ELLE, Vogue, Icon, L'Express Style...) and firms (Chaumet, Louis Vuitton, Playstation, Hermès, Tropicana, Air France...)
